Platforms are changing the way we work together and create value. As central interfaces, these platforms support interaction and organize capabilities and resources. The exchange goes beyond traditional corporate boundaries. Creating value in a digitized context is less and less about finding the right path. Besides efficiency or control, it’s predominantly about more about orchestrating and dovetailing transactions.

In order to successfully establish a platform or even just initially fill it with life, it is therefore necessary to take a multidimensional view of value creation and added value for the respective stakeholders involved. After all, a platform thrives on an attractive design for all participants represented – producers and consumers should regularly exchange information on it.
