1How much do your services cost?
My daily rate is based on the standard industry daily rates for senior consultants and varies depending on the non-profit or commercial orientation of the project.
2We are a large company for which you can implement a free project for your portfolio - interested?
No. The bigger or better known your company is, the more likely it is that you have sufficient financial resources - if your brand is not that big after all, then the offer is uninteresting anyway.
3I am at the beginning of my career/starting a business, can you accommodate me on price?
It depends. Consider whether you want to use a professional service or "just want to try something out." For the former, I may be the right person to contact. An important part of my service is the resource-oriented consulting of an implementation. Even with a low budget, projects can be implemented and checked without getting into financial difficulties. Think about whether this investment in me is worthwhile. If not - just wait until their business is better and treat yourself to a sweet banana.
4I have big plans - is one person enough for my project?
For a quick start of the project, a small team is recommended. Small teams are faster, more agile and less expensive. So does a person like me who combines multiple roles. With increasing requirements and complexity of the project I can draw on a large network of developers, consultants and others. All very talented monkeys.
5We are a non-commercial organization - do you work as a volunteer?
In principle, yes. But keep in mind that in this case I am very likely to claim influence over your project - even outside the original assignment. In this way, I can ensure that our work together is time well spent and that I enjoy it. If this is not desired: convince me of your public interest oriented project! I am open to this in principle.
6You rely on open source software - do I have to? Do you also work with proprietary systems or software?
In principle, I also work with proprietary systems. Personally, I prefer free and open source software whenever possible.
7Do you work only for money?
No. I also work just for fun and for the welfare of other living beings. The meaningfulness of my work is very important to me. Money is just very convenient. However, I am also very happy to accept bananas that I have grown myself.
