Building a successful platform is less about developing the best technology and more about building the right relationships and creating real value.

Platform-Strategy

Building a successful platform is less about developing the best technology and more about building the right relationships and creating real value.

Platform-Design

Platform design is concerned with the optimal organisation of the processes and stakeholders to be involved in the platform. Incentive systems, co-benefits and stakeholder architecture play a dominant role, as does the technical translation into the platform concept.

Content Management Systems

Depending on the purpose, I work with open source systems like WordPress and Drupal. Both systems are based on the PHP programming language and the MySQL database. Both PHP and MySQL are very widely used and generally do not have any special hosting requirements.

Both systems have their place. Which CMS is right for you depends on the problem you are trying to solve and your current and future needs.

WordPress

WordPress is the most popular content management system in the world. Its features include a plugin architecture for using various functions (such as a contact form) and a template system for creating customised websites. Originally developed as a blogging system, WordPress quickly became popular in the blogging world, but has gradually evolved into a fully-fledged CMS CMS.

Drupal

Drupal is also one of the most successful CMSs. Thanks to a large open source community, many extensions, so-called modules, can be accessed. This allows efficient implementation of projects with a wide variety of objectives. The system is flexible and enables individual adaptations, including complex solutions in the extranet and intranet area, and is therefore a particularly good choice for more complex projects.
